The boat is also available for out of season day trips for groups maximum 10 people.
We average 50 bookings a year, and about 500 engine running hours covering about 1500 miles All our crew are volunteers for the Kensington Foundation.

Our second boat, The Tavy Cleave, a 1964 wooden canal cruiser, was kindly given to the Kensington Foundation by Mr Tony Bateman in 2009. Our boat is moored on the Lancaster Canal and can accommodate 6 people.

Tavy Cleave is available for half days and full day trips.  Please note that there is no wheelchair access.

A skipper will join you on your day out and will encourage you and your family to steer the boat.

Basic catering facilities are on board for your use.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to all our volunteer crew who enable our Charity to offer boats for use to families with additional needs, at a minimum cost – we cover expenses.
